One week project

I sometimes get scared of people’s eyes and opinions.
I didn't know what would happen when I just came here, so I was a little scared of this critique.
Small pieces are gathered together into a shape that is very interesting for me, and I feel the strength. I have no difficulty in continuing the same thing as long as the goal is visible.

The red balloon is whimsical to me and I feel a little sad. And when I was little, there was a sense of tension that I would never have to release my hand from the string. Even though it was important to me, it was sad that it gradually withered.

Since come to America, the alphabet has been swirling around in my head. Depending on the viewer, the words and alphabets to capture are different. As the viewer looks into the bowl and shakes his head, the alphabet emerges jumbly.

Space will share time with people, but time wouldn’t.
When we use an elevator, we share space and time with strangers. Although the purpose of each other may be the same or different, there is very little chance of using the box together.
Through seeing this mirror, I wasn’t really sure where I was seeing myself or not, but I share my time in the mirror with someone if I ride this elevator.

The gloppy texture foam emphasized together with glass. Metallic texture but soft shape brings out the mystery of the material.

I like little things that come together.
I am the opposite of trypophobia, like trypophilia. This is a term I coined.

When I went to the museum, I saw a 2000 year old glass with bubbles in it.
Within those bubbles is the air of that era.

I put my cheeseburger breath in as the most iconic fast food of our time, and I can't wait to see what happens when scientists discover this capsule in 2000 years.

At Southern Illinois University, everyone will do a One week project in the first semester of the first year of the graduate program. There is a weekly critique and we can use something other than glass. Occasionally a professor will give a title and make it based on it.
